A blustery afternoon for our bird walk at Tanybwlch Beach , Penparcau, Aberystwyth, this afternoon. Some of the birds we managed to see Black Headed Gull Rook. Afterwards we went to the Promenade at Aberystwyth to watch the "Murmuration" of Starlings.  Each night, during the winter months, the starlings do a spectacular flying display before going to roost under the pier.

From Fishguard we then went to Newport and stopped by the river, Lillie perfected her bird watching skills at the Wildfowl Conservation area . We then went round to Newport Beach , Lillie, Rufus and Lesley enjoyed the beach walk and even managed to find some Mermaids Purses. Nursehound Smallspotted Catshark

Today we started at Strumble Head , it was very windy but we managed to see the Lighthouse before sheltering in the observatory. This afternoon we went to Tanybwlch beach , Penparcau, Aberystwyth to do a Mermaid Purse Hunt.  We also collected and noted other beach finds as well.  Lillie did exceptionally well and found some unusual Mermaids Purses as well as a dead Nursehound on the beach.  She also made a new friend, Lucy Cookson, Lillie and Lucy with a cuttlefish bone. Lillie also managed to find a fossil. Lillie doing what she likes to do best, throwing stones into the water..... And making friends with a dog. Today we went to Ffynone Waterfall near Boncath.  It was quite hilly in places and very muddy.  Lillie managed to loose her wellies on a number of occasions, and pops and nan both had very muddy boots and trousers. We managed to see some Teal and Mallard in one of the lakes, Teal Mallard Lillie could not resist a paddle in the stream On the way back we went past piles of logs and found these bracket fungus growing on them. This afternoon we had visitors who came to see Lillie, Keith, Jill and Joanne Whitehead.

Today we went to the Preselli Mountains, Lillie and I were going to go to the Cerrig Ladron, the peak at 468m above sea level, unfortunately when we reached the car park, halfway up, the car park and peak were covered in low cloud making it to dangerous to go up. We then decided to go to Pantmaenog Forest . Lesley, Lillie and Rufus, Lillie picking up stones. A male Bullfinch in the undergrowth We then went to Penrallt Garden Centre for lunch, Lillie tucked into Chicken Nuggets and Chips followed by half of pops Bara Brith. Today we met Nick, Maxine, Lillie and Dylan at Percy Throwers Garden Centre in Shrewsbury, Lillie then came back with Nan and Pops. Dylan and Lillie enjoyed the singing penguins. On the way back we stopped in the Cambrian Mountains, Lillie took Rufus for a walk. The road through the Cambrian Mountains.
